Fujitec Singapore Experience App
Fujitec Experience Centre presents the latest technology in elevators and escalators in an interactive and engaging way. The use of vibrant colors and a dynamic design transforms the space into a fun learning environment for customers and interested users, providing them with a hands-on experience to deepen their understanding of Fujitec’s cutting-edge technology.
Challenge
Fujitec Experience Centre is facing several challenges including a lack of interaction and engagement with visitors, difficulty in understanding and learning about elevators and escalators, an unengaging experience center that does not fully showcase the technology used, and ineffective communication of brand values. Additionally, tracking visitor engagement and feedback through the current experience center is difficult. With the aim to solve these problems, the goal of the app is to create a fun and interactive experience for visitors, allowing them to deepen their understanding of elevators and escalators and the brand values of Fujitec, thus improving the overall experience at the center.
Ideate
Once the problems were defined, the next step was to ideate and generate potential solutions. To ensure a comprehensive approach, the team utilized the Double Diamond process to guide their brainstorming and ideation session. During this stage, the team considered ways to integrate technology and brand values into the experience, such as incorporating QR codes, AR, quizzes, and photo-sharing capabilities. They also discussed the overall user journey, including both the physical and digital aspects of the experience. This allowed them to explore and develop innovative and comprehensive solutions to address the problems identified in the previous stage.
Wireframe and Prototype
The team then took the best ideas from the ideation phase and created prototypes to test and refine. This involved creating mockups and sketches of the app and user experience, as well as experimenting with various features and technologies. The prototypes were then tested with potential users to gather feedback and make adjustments to improve the experience.
User test
Once the prototypes were developed, we tested them with a group of potential users, including clients, technology partners and stakeholders. This involved observing the users as they interacted with the app and experience centre, and gathering feedback on their overall experience. The team also collected data on the effectiveness of the app in deepening visitors’ understanding of elevators and escalators and communicating the brand values of safety and reliability. Based on the feedback, the team made refinements to the app and experience to enhance the overall user experience.
Iterate
After the user testing was completed, the team iterated on the app and experience centre based on the feedback received. This involved making improvements to the user interface, adding or removing features, and refining the overall experience. The team repeated this process several times, making small adjustments and improvements until the app met the goals and requirements set in the ideation phase.
Launch
After several rounds of iteration, the team was confident in the app’s ability to create a fun and interactive experience for visitors at the Fujitec Experience Centre. The app was then launched and made available to the public, allowing visitors to deepen their understanding of elevators and escalators and engage with the brand values of safety and reliability.
Key Takeaways
The process of developing the Fujitec Experience Centre app was a valuable experience for the team. They learned about the importance of user-centered design and the need to gather and incorporate feedback from potential users. They also gained valuable insights into the potential of technology, such as QR codes and AR, to enhance the visitor experience in physical spaces. Overall, the team was able to create a successful and engaging app that met the goals of deepening visitors’ understanding of elevators and escalators and enhancing their experience at the Fujitec Experience Centre.
